General information on the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI)

What is Generative AI?

Generative AI is a branch of AI which helps to create or modify content. It uses advanced models to produce images, audio, video and text.

Generative AI systems are trained using large amounts of data. In order to generate new content, AI models learn to identify patterns and relationships in data based on instructions.

We may ask a Generative AI tool to create, for example, an image of a group of people or generate a podcast with the voices of two people chatting. Images or voices generated by AI systems may be those of people and objects, places, entities or events, and even though they appear to be real, they do not exist.

Why is it important to label this type of content?

We realise that the content generated by these AI systems is very realistic and that it can be difficult to distinguish between what is real and what is artificial.

At ISDIN, we are committed to responsible use of Artificial Intelligence and want to be transparent with the use of these types of tools. It is important to us that you know when you are interacting with content created using generative AI. For this reason, we’ll let you know when our content has been created or modified with Generative AI tools.

How do we at ISDIN identify the content we have generated using AI?

Videos, photos or audio you may see on our website, app or other channels such as social media, which have been generated using AI tools and may lead you to think this is real content, will be labelled “Content generated or modified using Artificial Intelligence”.

Our goal is to be transparent and for you to always know when we are using generative AI to create this content.

When do we label AI-generated content at ISDIN?

Realistic images, videos or audio created or modified by ISDIN with AI and shared on our website, app or other media, such as social media, will be labelled as “Content created or modified using Artificial Intelligence” or with similar information (depending on the platform).

Examples of content created using Generative AI which we label:

A video showing two people talking.

A podcast with AI-generated voices.

A picture of a group of people.

In some cases, we may use AI tools for other uses that do not give rise to any confusion for the user about the veracity or authenticity of the content that is generated, e.g. to translate text or to subtitle a video. In these cases, we will not include the label “Content created or modified using Artificial Intelligence” because we understand this does not pose a risk or possible confusion for you.

Finally, we would like to inform you that all content or text generated using AI tools by ISDIN will always be reviewed by people before it is published.
